Izaak Atnikov is an experienced civil litigator whose practice focuses on personal injury, medical negligence, disability insurance, employment law, and other complex civil disputes.

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Izaak earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina before attending the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. During law school, he gained practical experience with a leading full-service Saskatchewan law firm, and was recognized with numerous academic awards and scholarships. He graduated with Distinction in 2016, and joined Rodin Law Firm immediately thereafter.

Since joining Rodin Law Firm, Izaak has dedicated his career exclusively to civil litigation, and to helping clients navigate challenging legal matters and obtain meaningful results. Izaak completed his articles under the mentorship of Greg Rodin, K.C., whose commitment to professionalism, client service, and effective advocacy continues to influence Izaak’s approach to practice today.

Over the course of his practice, Izaak has represented clients in a wide range of complex litigation matters, including serious personal injury claims, medical and dental negligence cases, disability insurance disputes, occupiers’ liability claims, employment matters, and all other manner of civil disputes. Izaak is committed to securing the best possible outcomes for his clients, whether through negotiated settlement, mediation, or trial. Izaak is a skilled trial lawyer, having conducted a number of complex trials before the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta.

Outside of his legal practice, Izaak remains actively involved in the legal community. He is a member of the Calgary Bar Association, serves on Executive Committee for the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association (ACTLA), and the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) Health Law subsection, where he has served as Chair and Past Chair. Izaak has presented to legal professionals on issues relating to medical negligence and civil litigation, and volunteers with the KB Amicus program offering legal assistance to unrepresented litigants in the Court of King’s Bench. Izaak’s commitment to professional development and advocacy ensures he remains at the forefront of legal issues affecting the practice of civil litigation in general, and personal injury and medical malpractice in particular.

Outside the office, Izaak enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of the outdoors. Whether skiing, hiking, or cycling in the mountains, he values the same qualities that guide his legal practice: preparation, perseverance, and a willingness to embrace a challenge.
